The East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District has developed an excellend brochure on landscaping with native plants. While particularly focused on rain gardens, ie, areas that receive rain run off from downspouts or sidewalks, the photos, plant lists and planting diagrams, for both sun and shade, make it an excellent starting point for any native planting.
